
Cheryl Kidd, City Council Administrator
Cheryl Kidd is City Council Administrator, a department head position that requires strong skills in the areas of organization, communication and personnel management.
Her duties involve hiring and managing Central Staff, which is the team that supports City Council activities and projects. Her job includes preparing the Council’s office budget, conducting investigations and preparing reports for Council covering a broad range of issues.
An attorney by practice, she is a seasoned veteran regarding public utility issues. A former assistant to a district judge, Cheryl later successfully opened her own practice where she specialized in child custody cases, juvenile advocacy, adoption and other domestic-related issues. Cheryl's legal expertise also extends into areas dealing with municipal bonds.
Cheryl is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., and past member of the Kiwanis Club and Toastmasters.
