Councilor Roderick Royal and the distinguished men of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated pose with Birmingham Mayor Larry Langford.  At the December 4, 2007 Council meeting, Councilor Royal acknowledged the 101 anniversary of the fraternity.  Alpha Phi Alpha is the first intercollegiate fraternity established by African Americans.
