The Birmingham Police Department reports that a suspect has been charged in connection with a robbery investigation.
The suspect has been identified as: Mardriquez High, B/M, 19, of Birmingham, Alabama. A Robbery warrant has been obtained against the suspect.
On Saturday, June 16, 2012, off-duty BPD officers were alerted that a robbery was taking place in the 4100 block of
3rd Avenue South. As officers approached, they observed a male citizen attempting to restrain the suspect. Officers later learned that the citizen observed the incident taking place before he

The suspect is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.
