Burglary Arrests

The Birmingham Police Department reports that four suspects have been arrested and charged in connection with three burglary investigations.

The first suspect in the Oxmoor Place burglary has been identified as: Robert Garrett, B/M, 18, of Fairfield, Alabama. Two Burglary warrants have been obtained against the suspect. A Violation of State Firearms Act warrant was also obtained against the suspect in this case. Investigators obtained a Theft of Property warrant on the suspect in an unrelated case.

The second suspect in the Oxmoor Place burglary has been identified as: Tommy Williams, B/M, 19, of Birmingham, Alabama. Two Burglary warrants have been obtained against the suspect.

On Monday, July 2, 2012, South Precinct officers responded to investigate a call of a suspicious vehicle in the 200 block of Oxmoor Place. Upon arrival, officers located one suspect inside his vehicle and another suspect walking through the community. The suspects were later determined to be the suspects involved in two burglaries in the area. The suspects are in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.

On Monday, July 2, 2012, South Precinct officers also received a call of a burglary in progress in the 1800 block of 16th Avenue South. Officers received information that the suspects were carrying items from a residence. Officers were able to locate the suspects a short distance from the victim’s residence. The suspects were taken into custody and later determined to be the suspects involved in the burglary.

The suspects are in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail.

The first suspect in the 16th Avenue South burglary has been identified as: Daniel Medders, W/M, 31, of Birmingham, Alabama. A burglary warrant has been obtained against the suspect.

The second suspect in the 16th Avenue South burglary has been identified as: Christopher Barnes, W/M, 31, of Demopolis, Alabama. A burglary warrant has been obtained against the suspect.
