Recognized as a high performer focused on organizational leadership and client satisfaction, Tracey Morant Adams’ forward thinking, approach to business and relationship management, makes her well suited to her current position as Director of Economic Development for the City of Birmingham.
Ms. Adams’ is currently responsible for leading efforts to facilitate growth and diversification of Birmingham’s economic platform through business recruitment, retention and expansion. Specifically, Economic Development seeks to create meaningful employment opportunities for all citizens, thus providing a stable and growing tax base for the City.
Tracey attended the University of Montevallo, where she is a Cum Laude Graduate, receiving a B.A. degree in Business. She went on to receive her MBA from Samford University and was accepted into the University of Phoenix Doctoral Program where she will pursue a PhD in Organizational Leadership.
Ms. Adams is involved in the National Association of Female Executives, the National Black MBA Association, and the University of Montevallo Alumni Association. Currently, she serves on various boards including, Operation New Birmingham, Innovation Depot and is a member of the Liberty Missionary Baptist Church where she dedicates time with the Youth and Ushering Ministries and serves on the Trustee Board. Tracey is an avid reader and enjoys traveling with her husband Jeff to exciting places.
